Haleakala Crater Hike

| Begin your day with a scenic drive up to the crater of Haleakala in comfortable, air-conditioned vans. Enjoy fresh ground coffee and a delicious continental breakfast, featuring fresh tropical fruit and muffins, while viewing the volcano - a perfect photo-opportunity.
After breakfast we will hike into the moonscape of Haleakala crater. Guests can hike as far down as they like or sit and enjoy the landscape. This is a most strenuous hike, as it is four to five miles at altitude. The spectacular views of the North and South shores of Maui, the Central Valley and maybe even the Big Island make this trip unforgettable!
Your knowledgeable guide will explain the intricacies of Hawaiian natural and cultural history, and even a little geology. There are flora and fauna on this hike found nowhere else on earth. Keep your eyes open for the rare Hawaiian state bird (the Nene goose), along with other Maui wildlife.
Must not have scube dived within 24 hours. |
